EARTH REVOLVES AROUND THE SUN IN AN ELLIPTICAL ORBIT. 


THE TIME TAKEN BY EARTH TO COMPLETE ONE REVOLUTION AROUND THE SUN IS APPROXIMATELY 365.25 DAYS, WHICH IS KNOWN AS A TROPICAL YEAR OR A CALENDAR YEAR.
